1 John 2:27-29
"But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming. If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him."
Bishop Venesha Carthran is the founding pastor of Faith, Healing, & Deliverance Church. She was born to Irvin and Rosie Mae Johnson on April 19, 1958 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She married the love of her life, the late, great, Deacon Walter F. Carthran on November 19, 1977. She is the loving mother of 6 daughters, Savannah Carthran, Conswela Johnson, Sheron Thomas, Constance Goodrum, Kamillian Carthran, and Chloe Carthan and 1 son, Damien Carthran. During her years as pastor, she has nurtured the ministry's growth and development. She has helped to develop the clothing ministry, food pantry, and music ministry just to name a few. One of Bishop Carthran's favorite scriptures is Psalm 107:1 which reads: "Give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good, for His mercy endureth forever."
